MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9:   Optional Technical Tour: Herzog Regional Rail Dispatch Center & Regional PTC Center

Board Trinity Railway Express (TRE) at Fort Worth Central Station to begin the journey to Herzog’s Rail Dispatch Center for an orientation to Dallas-Fort Worth regional rail operations: 86 miles of commuter rail – TRE (33 miles), Trinity Metro’s TexRail (27 miles), and DART’s Silver Line (26 miles), along with dispatch of Class I Railroads BNSF, Union Pacific, and CPKC; Short Line Railroad Fort Worth & Western Railroad, and DGNO; and Excursion Train Grapevine Vintage Railroad.

‍From there, you will board a shuttle bus to Herzog’s Regional PTC Center for a tour of the facility before returning to the conference hotel.

12:15 PM    Technical Tour

Experience the service of all three host agencies while you explore how TOD is being put to use in Downtown Carrollton, Trinity Mills, and Grapevine. End the day with happy hour at Hotel Vin or catch the train to DFW. (Luggage handling can be arranged to facilitate your participation.)
